Pottery with a purpose.

Our story

Hi, I’m Ashley! My husband and our four kids live in Santa Rosa Beach, FL just a few miles away from where I was born and raised. I attended college at Auburn University (War Eagle!) and became a Nurse Practitioner. After marrying my husband and four little ones later I became introduced to the love of pottery. My friends and I took a hand building class and I immediately knew this was something I wanted to learn more about.

I signed myself up for a wheel class and little did I know that in Gods timing He would use pottery as a way to grow closer to Him over the next months. The same day as my first class, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. I used my time learning on the wheel in the quietness as a way to process everything. I began making her some vases as encouragement, but also finding it good for myself to escape and learn the process of pottery. It is hard, it is frustrating at times- but when I pull a piece out of the kiln after being fired, it is beauty!

I was making quite a mess in our garage at home and so my husband graciously offered to help build me my own pottery house with the help of a builder friend. It was my dream come true! Just a few weeks after completion, my husband, who is very young and healthy, suffered a stroke from a hole in his heart that we had no idea was there. Thankfully, he is on the mend.

You will find me creating new vessels, bowls, mugs and at all hours of the day. When my baby girl is napping, I will be right in my spot hurrying to create something for you to have in your home. I am reminded that through the process, even though it takes time, there is beauty in it! I’m so humbled that you have chosen to be a part of this story and I cannot wait to see the homes and stories that each of my pieces have in your home!

Love,

Ashley
